On December the 8th, 2011, we had a Christmas concert.  First Lauren and Jonathan led out the Christmas concert. They had to pretend to be visitors to New Zealand. They did a very well job.  First Lauren said her liners in a microphone " ding dong ding, welcome to Tokomaru airport. We would like to welcome our visitors from near and far. please make your way to the arrivals area and enjoy your visit." to determine the start of our airport scene.  Mrs Bismark put a picture of an arrivals board on our projector.  First we waved in our teams coming up on to the front of the stage. There were Japan, Samoa, Scotland and Australia.  First Samoa did their pat dance. Then Australia did their Australian cowboy dance then Scotland with their kilts, Scotland traditional dance and Japan with their fan dance. I was in Japan.  Japan was me Annabelle, Aymee, Charlotte, Tessa and O' Meara jean.  Then we all came in to sing our national anthem. After the curtains closed,  we all came down to change into our rugby game uniforms. Me and the other cheerleaders went on. we did our dance. we picked up Jordan and she then jumped off, We did our Pyramid and then we went of.  Go All blacks!!!.  Then Room 1 and 2 did their  pass, tackle, line out, and scrum. and then Ryan shouted at the end, Yes, we won!  then some presentations. I got best personal growth and development in my room. only award. Then a short presentation from home&school. and Mr Ratana, the principal, showed a video of what has been happening at Tokomaru school. Ag day

On November 12th of 2011 we had Agricultural day. Everyone did their mini scenes, novelty creations, floral arrangements, baking.

This year we also did button bracelets, calendars , diaries, decorate-a-bike and mirrors. I want to thank , The home&school and the B.O.T and all of the teachers. They helped in every way imaginable.  Without them everything wouldn't have happened,  They really outdone themselves this year, and we thank you.  We are sending letters to them and I hoped they like them.

There were gumboot throwing and Danny won 3 times in a row. Defending Championship.

Animals and gardens were being judged that day and the next few days.
Lots of people went to the group Finals including my friends.  Angel one the group finals gardens.  We are really proud of her.

Q:    If you guys were there what would you buy and feel like?

Winter Wonderland Disco

The Winter Wonderland disco was fun.
We had lollies drinks and everything. We danced our heart out and we played some games. Musical freeze was one of them. Ruari won that one and Joshua did  too.
It was on Friday June 2011 The teachers said it was a surprise and they wanted us to guess what it was.
The home and school knew what it was but they wouldn't tell.
The best dressed went to Julius Dominic Ruari and Ella.

At the end it turned out great. Everyone had fun and that's what matters.

speech competition

On Thursday Our school had a school had a speech competition. It was our class speech competition. Room 2 which was the youngest came over to represent their speeches as well.It was nice seeing how they presented their speech compared to ours. They lined up and each said parts of their speech. While our class just stood up individually and presented them. Every one did a great job designing their speeches. We practiced and practiced and kept in our minds that practice, practice, practice makes perfect.  I thought everyone had a great time and that's what matters. Although some people did not get through to the school finals and the seiors went to the cluster, We were trying to go for the win and that is what matters to us.
